Register to sing in our December Concerts
Light it Up and Messiah
Panoramic Voices will have two performance opportunities for our singers in December! These concerts could not be more different: pop vs. classical, outdoors vs. indoors, casual vs. formal, Austin vs. Georgetown. Singers are welcome to register to sing in either or both concerts, but we will likely need to put some singers on a wait list to make sure that we don’t have more people than we can fit on stage. Our selection process is described below the project details.
Light it Up
Kick off the holiday season with Panoramic Voices and guest artists at our favorite local brewery! This festive evening begins with our annual community caroling for voices and instruments before launching into an upbeat, casual concert full of holiday favorites. This year, we’ll also be including our Pano Youth Choir! We will also have guest appearances from other local arts organizations.

REHEARSALS: At Northwest Hills UMC (7050 Village Center Drive, Austin, TX)
TUESDAY (7-9pm): Nov. 3
THURSDAYS (7-9pm): Oct. 22, 29; Nov. 12, 19; Dec. 3
SATURDAYS (9am-12pm): Oct. 24; Nov. 7, 21; Dec. 5
CAPACITY: We will be able to accommodate 140 singers for this performance.
ATTIRE: We will be wearing our Panoramic Voices official t-shirts for this concert. You will need to purchase one from our singer resource page (if cost is an issue, we can work with you).
MUSIC COST: We are expecting the music for this concert to run $35-$45.
ATTENDANCE: We request that singers miss no more than 2 rehearsals for this project. Additional absences should be discussed with Juli prior to registering. We’re happy to be flexible as long as there is clear communication!
Handel’s Messiah
We will be accompanying CTP in their performance of Messiah (Part 1 plus the Hallelujah chorus) again this season! This is a condensed project leading up to one concert in Georgetown, TX. Singers should be comfortable learning their parts from practice tracks and music at home, as we will only rehearse a few times for this one. In other words, while all are welcome, this project may be challenging for beginners. The dress rehearsal and performance will both take place at the Klett Center in Georgetown under the direction of Maestro Stefan Sanders!

If either of these presents a financial hardship, please let us know and we can make arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Sheet music and t-shirts can both be purchased through the singer resource page, which you will gain access to after registering.
REHEARSAL TRACKS: We will provide rehearsal tracks for practice at home!
NEXT STEPS: Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email when the performance rosters are set (within a few weeks) with access to the singer resource page, where you will have access to all information regarding these concerts as we finalize them. Some of your questions about the process may be answered in our Singer Registration FAQs. If you have any other questions, please email us at chorus_manager@panoramicvoices.org.
Because of the high demand for our programming, we are concerned about accessibility for those without regular access to technology, those who cannot step away from work easily to register within a short window, and those who may have been traveling when the registration announcement was sent. This season, we have selected venues that should be able to accommodate larger groups. Registration for this project will remain open until the end of day on October 9, 2026. However, in the event that capacity is exceeded, we will select singers for the project using a weighted score and lottery system.
Priority will be given to singers who can best adhere to our attendance policy. Please check the rehearsal dates for this project, and note all dates you will miss as part of registration. (We of course understand that things come up; we simply request good communication from singers when they need to miss!) Please note that this does NOT mean you cannot participate in a project if you have more absences—communicating your absences with us is key!
Priority will be given to new singers and singers who were not selected for the most recent rosters.
We will take a look at past attendance, and this may affect your weighting, as well. (Please note that we are flexible with attendance, but ask that you communicate clearly with us, especially when you need to drop a projects. Singers who have not shown up to a project for which they registered AND who did not communicate with us will receive less priority than those who communicated absences/drops clearly.)
We will ask you to rank this season’s projects in order of preference, and will attempt to place you on the projects you are most interested in. This is not a perfect process yet, as we are experimenting with more ways to make our registration fair, accessible, and available to our growing demand. We will make every attempt to get singers into the projects that mean the most to them!
Section leaders (on or off duty), Board Members, and Committee Chairs will get preference in honor of their service to our organization.
Our intent is to ensure that all singers who wish to participate in our community have the ability to do so. While this does mean that some singers may not be assigned to every project, it should also mean that all singers will be able to participate with some regularity, without the stress of registering in a tiny, frantic time window. Thank you for your patience with us as we continue to improve our process!
If you are not selected for a project, you are still welcome to join us for rehearsals only. This is a great way to get involved in the community, even if we aren’t able to give you a spot in the performance. Singers who have a lot of projected absences, any kind of performance anxiety, or who simply aren’t able to commit to the full project are encouraged to register for the “rehearsals-only track”.
