Please note the following, which apply to all projects:
All singers are welcome in Pano Youth/Nano Pano—NO AUDITIONS!
All rehearsals will take place at UUMC (2409 Guadalupe St) unless otherwise noted.
STANDARD REHEARSAL SCHEDULE FOR TUESDAYS:
NANO (elementary)- 6:00-6:45 PM
YOUTH (middle & high school)- 6:30-8:15
Singers should plan to commit to our Fall and Winter projects by registering below. Spring registration will open separately later in the year.
Pano Youth charges at $135 per semester participation fee. Fees include your singers sheet music and a t-shirt for your student to wear at performances. They help offset costs of: Highly qualified instructors, collaborative musicians, and rental space. We never want cost to be a barrier for participation- if your singer needs a full or partial scholarship please don’t hesitate to email youth@panoramicvoices.org: EVERYONE is welcome and we will work with your family to make sure your singer gets to participate! You can pay fees in the pay portal at the bottom of this page.

“LINEAGE”

These kids are their ancestors wildest dreams — makers, movers, shakers, beings abounding with empathy and vision. We celebrate the knowledge held within each of us, passed down from our ancestors and filling our bones. In the spirit of the season (with our concert coming shortly after Dia de Los Muertos and All Saints Day), we will take time to share stories and songs we’ve learned from family members, friends, and loved ones who are no longer here. The human story is long, and isn't that exciting?

We will join Panoramic Voices Adult choir to bring light and joy to our city at two Holiday Markets- Light it Up at Central Machine Works Brewery on December 6th, and the Musical Christmas Market at UUMC on December 13th. We will sing old favorite carols like “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” alongside new buzzy songs of cheer like “Hot Chocolate!” and “Sugar Cookie!” We’ll bring back a couple favorites from last caroling season while learning new pieces as well. Get into the Holiday Season through song!

MEET THE DIRECTOR
AV VILLARREAL (they/them) is a maker of joyful noise in Austin, TX. They create and facilitate music making opportunities for all ages that help folks feel empowered, essential, and worthy.
AV has led choirs in the Austin area for over a decade. They serve as the Music Director at University United Methodist Church (UUMC) in Austin, where they direct a Sanctuary Choir of college through retirement aged singers of all experience levels. It is their joy to direct Pano Youth Choir, a vibrant and affirming choral community for 2nd-12th graders, and they love serving as the alto section leader for many Panoramic Voices projects. AV also delights in planning Queer Fellowship events in conjunction with UUMC’s Queer Council.
In their free time, AV loves salsa dancing, reading fantasy novels, and playing Dungeons and Dragons. They live in North East Austin with their fabulous flautist spouse Kenzie, and small speedy dog Florence.

This is where you can pay for participation in our Youth program.
You are also welcome to pay by check (to avoid credit card fees) made out to Panoramic Voices. You can do so at the first rehearsal, or by mailing your check to 3575 Far West Blvd. #28621, Austin, TX 78731. If you choose to send a check, please let us know it’s coming by contacting youth@panoramicvoices.org
Fall 2026- $135
Full 2026-2027 Season- $200
Payment Plan- If it works better for your family budget, you may make 4 payments of $33.75 (August, September, October, November) rather than paying the full fee in August. You can simply select “Fall 2026- Payment Plan” to pay online each month.
Sheet music will be distributed at the first rehearsal. We can also share PDFs with singers who use tablets, if applicable.
